Changing to AHCI causes a blue screen on startup, and XP doesn’t allow an F6 driver on install from anywhere other than a floppy, which most machines don’t have these days. I hope AMD takes you out to the trash cans again. The driver will install, and completing the Hardware update Wizard appears.
In all instructions I found the updating driver should be without BSOD on both for me 2 and 4 port controllers. I’m guessing since the ic9hm-e/m doesn’t have a floppy drive I’ll need to slipstream them into my XP CD? I modified it and got the AHCI drivers to load controler from the floppy.
